I received two Samplers from Willeke...I have Completed Diana's Sampler...all purples with one blue...I chose the blue because it was a beautiful rich deep blue....

I am following this pattern...the colors are supposed to be "sepia" in color...I find (not sure if it shows in the pic) a greenish , kind of kahki greenish color....I thought maybe I swiched them inadvertendly......It looks so much nicer in the pic, up close, you really can't see the pattern....It's a gift and I want it to be perfect....should I swich to color? Can you notice it? I"m thinking that there should be a more gradual light to dark and it seems like there is dark, light dark....UGH

I am really excited about this pattern...I work on it everyday.....

WOO HOO ....first RR completed (other than my own to start)...It'll be mailed tomorrow....can't wait to get the next one.....I love this sampler because it's not even a day's worth of stitching. We are giving ourselves 2 weeks and then mailing...I think it's plenty of time, no rush rush, and i get to participate.....a win Win WIN........

WAAYYYY too much information.......

Ok...this has to be my last post on this project.....It's already shows way too much! I A B S O L U T E L Y love this piece...it's for my BFF who shall remain nameless (hopefully a few of my friends think they are my BFF)...... I cannot wait to finish and I make myself stich for one hour every day just to get it done...it's all sepia tones and is simple beauty.... If anyone wants to see the piece, drop me an email and I will send the final pic from the pattern......God, I love this......

the mystery stitch....

I have been a bit distracted the past week...I am posting a gift that I am making for one of my loyal readers...once the pattern starts to take shape, I don't think I can post any longer....I don't want to spoil the surprise....I am wondering if I could block her ISP from viewing certain photos...hmmmmmmm I have also been off the beaten path finishing this scarf for my mother....per her request, she wanted a new scarf to matche her new winter coat....I added the "fun fur" to spice it up a bit....I like it...it reminds me of snow.....

DING...DING...Round THREE

OK....I did this BEFORE I had gotten anybody's opinion...other than it's too light....I like the blue, it picks up the irredescence in the heart....I am not too crazy about the heart above...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.....I think I just need to follow the pattern and use the DMC....

NO, I had to get "fancy" and try to pick my own colors....I can tell why I am not an artist, can you??

IT STAYS AS IS

Anybody can do whatever they want as far as colors...I still don't like the original pattern...I like the sampler threads, the variegatged threads......C'est la vie
